Notebooks, nested folders, and password protection
Structure that grows with you, and stays private when it needs to.
A knowledge base only stays useful if it stays organised. Hitaji Notes groups notes into notebooks and lets folders nest as deep as the subject demands, so a research project, a course, or a department's documentation each gets a structure that matches how you actually think about it — and anything sensitive can be locked behind a password.

Notebooks with nested folders
Create a notebook for each project, subject, or area of your life, then nest folders inside it as deep as the material demands — a course notebook might hold a folder per term, each with a folder per module. Structure grows with you instead of forcing everything into one flat list.
Password-protected notebooks
Any notebook can be locked with a password, keeping private journals, sensitive HR documentation, or draft material inaccessible to anyone who opens the app but doesn't hold the passphrase — without needing a separate app for the things that shouldn't be casually browsable.
Trash and recovery
Deleted notes and folders move to a trash rather than disappearing immediately, so an accidental delete is a two-click recovery rather than a lost afternoon of writing. Trash is scoped per notebook, keeping the recovery list relevant to where the mistake happened.
